1. Water Supply:

            The main source of water for Bodhan town is Bellal Tank having a capacity of 346 MCFT at F.T.L. of +122.25. At present the level of tank is 1222.02 having a capacity of 3339.05 MCFT. The silt level of sluice is +1210.25. The net quanity available for supply of drinking water is 339.05 MCFT

            The total quantity of water being supplied is 13.00 lakh gallons / day with five service reservoirs.

            And there are 52 nos of 6 ˝ ” dia borewells fitted with submersible motors and connected to the distribution lines to boost up the pressure in the distribution submersible bores 4.75 lg.and through tanker 0.20 lg.  In addition to the power bore wells thee are      388 nos of 4 ˝ ”dia borewells fitted with hand pumps in different localities of the town.

2. DOOR TO DOOR COLLECTION OF GARBAGE

            The municipality is implementing door to door collection of garbage in ward nos 9 to 31. The programme is commenced in phase I & II.   The remaining wards i.e. ward nos. 1 to 8 and 32 to 35 will commenced in Phase III upto the end of March 2006. The sanitation is supervised by one Sanitary Inspector (in charge) and 6 Sanitary Jawans with 144 labours inclusive of Municipal, DWCUA and contract labours.   The garbage generated by desilting of drains is being lifted through (8) Eight hired tractors are being dumped at trenching ground in Survey No. 979 of Bellal which has 10 acres of land.

3.  APURMSP:

            The APURMSP scheme is not sanctioned to this municipality.   However the Managing Director, APUFIDC, Hyderabad vide Lr. Roc. No.1189/2005/APUFIDC dtd: 11-11-2005 has communicated guidelines regarding the sequence of actions for accessing funds under 2nd phase of APURMSP.  The project report with an estimated cost of Rs. 5346 lakhs is submitted to the Commissioner & Director of Mpl. Admn. Hyderabad for perusal and approval.

4. INDIRAMMA

            The State Government have announced INDIRAMMA scheme (Integrated Novel Develop in Rural Area and Model Municipal Areas) to develop all the wards in Municipal area over a period of three years.   The following wards are identified under this scheme.

            Ward Nos. 1, 7, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 21, 29 and 33

            As per the schedule, the household survey is started from 16-12-2005 and completed upto 22-12-2005.

            The entry of data collected through Household survey is completed.

 6. Rajiv Nagara Bata:

            Rajiv Nagar Bata programme was held on 03-04-2005 in Bodhan Municipality.79 no. of petitions and 9 no. of C.M. assurances are received in the programme and updated in the website.  The details are as follows…

            During the visit of Hon’ble Chief Minister, petitions are received during Rajiv Nagara Bata programme for execution of developmental works viz. Laying of BT roads, CC roads and construction of drains.   In this connection, the Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration, A.P. Hyderabad has released Rs. 68.20 lakhs for the proposed works.   The works are in progress.

7. APUSP works:

            The Scheme is not sanctioned to this Municipality.

8 a. Rajiv Gruha Kalpa 2005-2006:

            500 houses have been allocated under Rajiv Gruha Kalpa scheme 2005-06 and 595 applications have been received and the same are forwarded to the Mandal Revenue Officer, Bodhan for preparation of eligibility list.   95 beneficiaries were remitted their contribution amount and the same are under progress.

8 b. Urban Permanent Housing Scheme 2004-05:

            550 houses were sanctioned Under UPH Scheme 2004-05.  And 545 applications have been received from the beneficiaries as follows:

8 c. Urban Permanent Housing Scheme 2005-06:

9. Regulation of Street vending and Hawking:

            The Govt. vide G.O.Ms.No.398 M.A. dt:25-9-2004 have issued certain guidelines for implementation of the policy on simplification of regulation of Street vending / Hawking in Municipal area.

            In this regard a Town vending Committee has been constituted involving local M.P. and M.L.A., members of NGO’s, D.S.P. and local vendors and Floor leaders.

            A site has to be identified for this purpose with joint inspection by the D.S.P. Bodhan.

            A survey has been conducted with regard to trades performing on the pavements, carriage way of roads and splay portions of junctions.

10. National Urban Renewal Mission:

            Guidelines in the above schemes are yet to be received. As soon as receipt of the guidelines the programme will be implemented.

11. Collection of Taxes:

            The total demand of taxes and non-taxes is Rs. 222.76 lakhs including an arrears of 69.52 lakhs.  Out of which we collected Rs. 86.70 lakhs upto December 2005.  From 01-01-2006 to 20-01-2006 we have collected Rs. 13.54 lakhs under special drive constituting 5 teams.

12. I.L.C.S.:

            A target of 2000 units has been fixed for construction of ILCS units.  Out of which 849 units have been completed.   So for Rs. 37.16 lakhs has been incurred towards expenditure.   200 units are under progress at different level in various wards of the town.

13. I.D.S.M.T.:

            A shopping complex at weekly market, Bodhan with 72 shops and 58 covered platforms has been completed with an estimate cost of Rs. 109.00 lakhs.   The shops are to be allotted by conducting auction for second time.

            The Hon’ble Chief Minister laid down foundation stone on 3-4-2005 for construction of shopping complex opp. Degree college with an estimated cost of Rs. 100.75 lakhs.   The type design in this matter has to be received from the Director of Town and Country Planning, Hyderabad.  As soon as receipt of type design further action will be taken.

14. EMPLOYMENT GENERATION:

Urban Self Employment Programme:

            A target of 85 nos has been fixed for 2005-06 with an amount of Rs. 16.96 lakhs.   413 applications have been received in which 40 number of beneficiaries have been sanctioned with a loan amount of Rs. 10.13 lakhs.   The remaining target will be achieved by end of March 2006.

DWCUA:

            5 number of DWCUA groups have been assisted in the above scheme with a loan amount of Rs. 7.25 lakhs for establishment of food grains shop, rice shop and dairy units etc.
