of Nizamabad District

Nizamabad District is having the following three irrigation sectors :
I. MAJOR IRRIGATION :1. APERP(MR) MAJOR IRRIGATION PROJECT (Nizamsagar Project) : The Govt.of Andhra Pradesh Memo.No. 4429/E1-21/05-2, dt:19.4.2005 has permitted to execute the (32) works of Nizamsagar project upto Alisagar balancing tank with an estimated cost of Rs.1969.84 lakhs under APERP (MR) and (32) works are completed. 2. Repairs & Rehabilitation works of Nizamsagar Project : The Government has transferred the Repairs and Rehabilitation works system from D/50 to D/82 for an amount of Rs.1800 lakhs from Lift irrigation Nizamabad to I.B.Division.Nizamabad of Irrigation Circle, Nizamabad vide GO.Rt.No. 839, dt: 16.12.2006. The detailed estimate is submitted to Engineer-in-Chief (Irrigation) Hyderabad for according technical sanction. 3. NORMAL PLAN :- Government of Andhra Pradesh has accorded administrative approval for (4) Nos.of works with an estimated amount of Rs.73.43 lakhs. Out of which (1) work is in progress and tenders called for balance works. II. MEDIUM IRRIGATION :- 1. POCHARAM Project : Govt.of Andhra Pradesh has accorded administrative approval for improvements to Pocharam project canal system with an estimated cost of Rs.1430.00 lakhs vide GO.Ms.No. 42, dt:10.3.2005. The (14) packages works are in progress and two package estimates are under preparation. 2. RAMADUGU Project : Govt. of Andhra Pradesh has accorded administrative approval for Raising FTL and Modernisation of Ramadugu project canal system with an estimated cost of Rs.1983.00 lakhs vide GO.Ms.No. 1203, dt: 6.8.05. The LF & RF canal works are in progress. The head works package tenders under finalisation. 3. KOWLASNALA Project : Govt.of Andhra Pradesh has accorded administrative approval for Lining to distributories, a tune of Rs.784.50 lakhs vide GO.Ms.No. 760, dt:9.5.2006 and for main canals a tune of Rs.199.00 lakhs vide GO.Rt.No.1323, dt:4.10.2006. Lining to Main canal tenders are under finalization and Tenders called for Distributory lining called for. III. MINOR IRRIGATION :- 1. NABARD ASSISTANCE UNDER RIDF-X :- Government vide GO.Ms.No. 22, dt: 2.2.2005 has accorded administrative approval for Construction of (5) Nos.of New Minor Irrigation tanks with a total estimated cost of Rs.532.32 lakhs to create a new IP of 1,575 acres. Out of which (2) works are completed and balance (3) works are in progress. Programmed to completed by end of 6/2007. 2. NABARD ASSISTANCE UNDER RIDF-IX :- Government vide GO.Ms.No. 4, dt: 4.1.2006 has accorded administrative approval for Construction of (6) Nos.of New Minor Irrigation tanks with a total estimated cost of Rs.530.49 lakhs to create a new IP of 1490 acres. Agreements concluded for all the six works and all the works are under progress and will be completed by 6/07. 3. NORMAL PLAN :- Government of Andhra Pradesh and Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation, Hyderabad has accorded administrative approval for (40) Nos.of works with an estimated amount of Rs.1462.36 lakhs for Construction of New tank / Anicut and Restoration of existing M.I. tanks. Due to which 854 acres of New I.P. will be created and 8711 acres of existing ayacut will be stabilized. Out of which (18) works are completed, (22) works are in progress, and programmed to complete these works by 6/2007. 4.RESTORATION OF M.I. SOURCES BY DOVETAILING WITH RICE (GO.Ms.No.28, dt:28.2.2005) : The Government of Andhra Pradesh has allotted Rs.500 lakhs for taking up restoration of Minor Irrigation sources by dovetailing irrigation funds duly tie-up with rice. The District Collector, Nizamabad has accorded administrative approval for (240) Nos.of works with an estimated cost of Rs. 555.40 lakhs in which 333.24 lakhs as cash component and Rs.222.16 lakhs are rice component. Out of which (191) works are completed, (43) works are in progress and (6) works balance. 5. IMPROVEMENTS TO CERTAIN EXISTING M.I. SOURCES (GO.Ms.No.326, dt:5.3.2005) :- The Government of Andhra Pradesh has sanctioned Rs.460.54 lakhs for taking up Improvements to certain existing minor Irrigation sources, such as excavation of feeder channels and construction of Percolation tanks of (67 Nos.) in Kamareddy Assembly Constituency vide GO.Ms.No. 326, dt: 5-3-2005. In which (66) works are completed and (1) works are in progress. 6. IMPROVEMENTS TO M.I. SOURCES (GO.Ms.No.765, dt:10.5.2006) :- The Government of Andhra Pradesh has accorded provisional administrative approval for Rs.150.00 lakhs for taking up Improvements to existing MI sources and construction of Percolation tanks in Kamareddy Assembly Constituency for (33) works duly tie up with 40% rice. The detailed estimates are submitted to Chief Engineer, M.I. Hyderabad for according sanction. 7. FDR 2005 (Permanent) under GO.Ms.No. 157, dt:5.3.2005 : The Govt.of A.P. has sanctioned Rs.210.00 lakhs for taking up the permanent repairs to flood damages occurred in flood season of 2005 in the District. The District Collector, Nizamabad has accorded administrative approval for an amount of Rs.216.00 lakhs for taking up permanent repairs to (75) works. Out of which (14) works are completed, (61) works are in progress. 8. Restoration of P.R. tanks (GO.Ms.No. 123, dt: 10.10.2005) : The Govt.of A.P. has sanctioned Rs.29.35 lakhs for taking up the restoration of Panchayat Raj tanks. The District Collector, Nizamabad has accorded administrative approval for an amount of Rs.58.70 lakhs for taking up restoration works to (27) works duly tie up 50% of rice. Out of which (11) works are completed and (16) works are in progress. 9. FDR-2006 (Temporary Measures) : Due to continuous heavy rains from 3.8.2006 to 6.8.2006 many of irrigation sources are damaged and breached. To save standing crop under the sources and also to avoid further damages to the sources immediate temporary measures proposals are prepared. The District Collector, Nizamabad has accorded administrative approval for (422) works for an amount of Rs.122.15 lakhs. In which 386 works are completed. 10. Repairs to Critical Railway Affecting Tanks (RAT) under GO.Rt.No.806, dt:24.5.06 : Govt. vide GO.Rt.No. 806, dt:24.5.2006 has allotted Rs.50.00 lakhs for taking up repairs to critical Railway Affecting Tanks in the District. The District Collector, Nizamabad has accorded administrative for (19) works with an estimated amount of Rs.50.00 lakhs. Out of which (4) works completed and (15) works are in progress. |
