BRIEF POINTS ON BLINDNESS CONTROL PROGRAMME.

1. The number of Cataract Operations conducted since the inception of the Cataract Blindness Control Project in Andhra Pradesh is as follows:

2. Facilities for Cataract Operations are available in Teaching Hospitals, District Hospitals, Area Hospitals, and Fixed Service centers totaling 6 in the District. Besides operations are also conducted by the NGO' s in the District.

3. The School children are being screened through the School Children Screening Programme . The eye screening performance for the Year 2004-2005 is as follows:

4. Eye Ball collections at Eye Bankings are available at Nizamabad, Kamareddy and Bodhan.
